Unforgettable Moments with Priceza

Unforgettable Moments with Priceza

I know that each of you have something to be pursued and so do I. Two weeks ago, I had a chance travelling to one of famous Asian countries in the world for free. Where did I go? Can you guess it? Yeap, I went to Thailand! My feeling was indescribable. I was so excited for this trip.

No, before I tell to all of you where my stories begin, I will explain why I could go to Thailand with almost zero expense there. From November to December (2 months),  I joined a competition which held by Priceza Indonesia. Within 2 months, every participant needs to write 50 articles. If they can fulfill this requirement, they will get "Expert Writer" badge. They can choose many topics like beauty, health, lifestyle, gadget and fashion. Honestly, I didn't write all of the articles effortlessly. There were tears, sweats and laughs (sorry, for dramatizing it) haha. I really enjoyed writing those articles though. The big day was coming! I became one of 7 winners! Yohoo!

Btw, have you known about Priceza? Priceza is a shopping search engine and price comparison website company. It was firstly started in Thailand then expanded to 5 other countries in Southeast Asian region (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Phillipines and Vietnam). Are you online buyer? Have you ever been hesitant to buy something in the online shop or e-commerce? You have been hesitant because you dont get the best price, right? Don't worry folks! You just need to go to Priceza website and compare the prices before buying your stuffs, tickets etc. It is easy, isn't it?

As a reward, every winner got free tickets, accomodations and cash money (THB 5000). We flied from our own cities to Jakarta and our meeting point was in Soekarno Hatta International Airport. It took around 3,5-4 hours from Jakarta to Don Mueang. We arrived on the afternoon and got an honour to have lunch with CEO of Priceza (Mr. Thanawat Malabuppha). He is very humble, inspiring and hospitable. We felt that we were completely accepted and welcomed.

[Thai-style fried chicken]

[Tom Yum Goong]

We tried authentic Thai cuisines and drinks. All of them was so irresistible, My mouth is watering now because I'm imagining those foods and drinks in front of me haha. I could taste Tom Yum Goong (sour and spicy shrimp soup), Pad Thai (Thai-style fried rice noodles), Som Tum (green papaya salad), Gai Med Ma Muang (chicken with cashew nuts) and the other fantastic foods. Thai foods really thrilled my taste buds. Most of us ordered Chanomyen (Thai milk tea). It becomes my favourite drink right now. I swear that I can give you mineral water for free but not for Chanomyen. FYI, we had a lunch in Sansab at SENA Fest (Thonburi Road, 2nd floor).

[Our team]

Then, we went to Priceza office in Klongsan, Bangkok. It's in a big building. Woah, the office is very cool. There are pantry, resting area  and table tennis! Two thumbs up! We were waiting precious moment in the Priceza office. Yes, we got our money. I needed this so bad because I did bring 0 Baht. How dare I was! haha.

[Cat and daydream]

[Price List]

 [Thai Milk Tea Mille Crepes]

We actually were confused where we should go. First, we wanted to go to Chatuchak Weekend Market. But it was not weekend, guys! So, it was close for sure haha. Freddy (our tour guide) asked us to go to Caturday (Cat Cafe). The prices for drinks and snack are quite expensive. Happily, you could meet those cute cats. I and Mbak Vika were so afraid with the cats in Caturday and I should be thankful to Freddy. You challenged me!

[Wat Pho]

[Wat Arun]

[Dinner in the Cruise]

Our tummies were very full and we still had next trip destinations to Wat Arun and Wat Pho. These two temples are must-visit when you are in Bangkok. On the night, we got dinner in the cruise (Chao Praya Princess Cruise). You had to pay THB 1500 (IDR 600K) to get dinner. There were various foods that we could try. You wouldn't regret it because dinner in this cruise will give you memorable and romantic experience. If you want to bring your spouse, family, friend, you shall ask them to have a dinner in the Chao Praya cruise. How is the food? For muslims, you don't have to worry,  all is Halal. Btw, I am craving for its fresh big shrimps now. We were shopping to Asiatique till we totally dropped! The products in Asiatique are good quality and cheap as well. That's all that I want! On the midnight, we went back to hotel (Ibis Sathorn Bangkok).

[Fried Noodle with Seafoods]

[Mango Sticky Rice]

[Chanomyen/Chayen]

On the second day, we still had shopping time. I couldn't resist it! MBK (Mahboonkrong) is large shopping mall in Bangkok. I chose to shopping in the Tops Market. It sells mostly Thai snacks, drinks, fruits, cosmetics and some imported snacks from Japan also. Shopping and eating, then shopping and eating again. We practiced those habits in Bangkok! We got lunch in Siam Paragon Food Hall. I tried mango sticky rice as dessert and stir-fried rice noodle with seafood and soya sauce. Two combos!

[Priceza Awards]

We should go back to our hotel because we had a great chance to attend Priceza Awards. This event aims to give awards for best online shoppers and e-commerces. I wore wedges and climbed up the stairs on BTS. What a challenging day!

[Cakes and Sushi]

[Yummy Lobsters]

We all love eating and everyone couldn't agree more. Got awesome dinner before the Priceza Awards in King Power. I totally didn't understand what they talked about (in Thai language), till we were given earphone so we could comprehend it haha. How poor I was. I fell from the stairs, fortunately I held on Mbak Vika's hands. We discussed where we want to go then. Pratunam Market was chosen as our next destination.

[Unknown Market]

Oh my God, we actually didn't go to Pratunam Market but to somewhere else and I bought 3 T-shirts there. So tired and we (Bang Bai, Mbak Nurul, Mbak Vika and I) bought snacks in 7-11 near our hotel. Mbak Nurul suggested her "thole (beloved son)'' to buy onigiri. I bought nothing.

[Grand Palace]

On the last day, we went to majestic palace in Bangkok, known as Grand Palace. Oh, I had to tell you that I also bought Soontra Coconut Juice. What a refreshing drink! Freddy, you successfully promoted Soontra Juice to me haha. Okay, let's back to Grand Palace! It was seriously big palace complex. When you find golden statues/things, it means that it's obviously made from gold. We admitted that we couldn't travel to all over Grand Palace areas since it was hot and scorching day.

[Coconut Juice]

[Thai-style KFC]

By taxi, we were driven to KFC. I thought that KFC from Indonesia and Thailand would have similar taste. I got wrong! KFC chickens in Thailand are more spicy than Indonesia's KFC has. Our group which consist of me, Bang Bai, Mbak Nurul and Mbak Vika ordered the same Taxi to go to the Don Mueang International Airport. The taxi driver looked like a newbie so he couldn't make sure that we will arrive on time. Luckily, he was still responsible and kind-hearted as well, he stopped and asked another taxi. Yeah, we moved to the new taxi. We could think nothing and prayed all along the way.

[Our tired faces]

[Kinda of Freddy's Narcissistic Selfie]

Freddy welcomed us with his anxious feeling. The other friends who previously arrived also helped us. Our tour guide (Freddy) commented to our messy faces haha. Thanks for God's mercy we could fly on time.

This Bangkok trips with all of awesome and great people will always live in my heart and mind. Thank you Priceza for giving me and 6 other friends (Mbak Nurul, Mbak Vika, Bang Bai, Mas Yogi, Annafi, Juliawan) unforgettable moments! Hopefully we can gather on the upcoming chances and events soon.
